1384298 Pesticidal dithiophosphoric acid esters CIBA-GEIGY AG 22 Dec 1972 [24 Dec 1971 3 Nov 1972] 59511/72 Heading C2P Novel compounds of Formula I where R 1 is hydrogen, methyl or allyl, R 2 is -(CH 2 ) n -OCH 3 , -(CH 2 ) n -CN, -OCH 3 or allyl and n is 1, 2 or 3 may be prepared (a) by reacting an ammonium, alkylammonium or alkali metal salt of O-ethyl-S-n-propyl dithiophosphoric acid with a compound of Formula III where Hal is fluorine, chlorine, bromine or iodine or (b) by reacting a compound of Formula IV with a compound of formula (n)-C 3 H 7 Hal and with a compound of formula R 4 OC(S)-SMe, MeSR 4 , Me 2 S, (R 4 O) 2 P(X)-SMe or (R 4 ) 3 N where R 4 is C 1-4 alkyl, X is oxygen or sulphur and Me is ammonium, alkylammonium or alkali metal. The compounds of Formula I have insecticidal and acaricidal properties and may be used as the active ingredients in conventional pesticidal compositions. The invention also comprises a compound of Formula I in a container which bears instructions for use of the compound in combating insects and acarids. |
