The acetone issues from a spray nozzle 15 and mixes with the acetylene in a chamber 5 to form a suspension which after passing through a centrifugal separator 6 for removal of large droplets is admitted through a valve 8 to cylinders 9. The separated acetone is collected in a container 11 supplied by a pump 17 and from which container acetone is fed by a pump 13 to spray nozzle 14.
