HIGH VOLTAGE A.C. TO LOW VOLTAGE D.C. SWITCHING INTERFACE CIRCUIT

High voltage a.c. to low voltage d.c. switching interface circuit. High voltage mains a.c. is permanently connected via a first potential divider to the set input of an i.c. bistable circuit, and is connected via a high voltage switch and a second potential divider to the reset input of the bistable circuit. The potential ratios of the two dividers are chosen so that when the switch is closed the bistable circuit is set and remains set.
