The shock absorber comprises a bellows (1) whose upper end is secured to a support plate (2) with flange (4) for connection to a vehicle chassis whilst its lower end carries a guide element (5) secured to the body (7) of the shock absorber. Shoulder (8) connect the shock absorber to the wheel axle carrier (9). The piston rod (10) of the shock absorber extends through the bellows and is secured to the plate (2). The bellows and shock absorber may be co-axially arranged relative to one another.
