<p>1500994 Antibiotic susceptibility test discs ELI LILLY & CO 14 April 1975 [16 April 1974] 15161/75 Heading G1B A #-lactam-type-antibiotic susceptibility test material comprises an absorbent material on which a crystalline #-lactam-type-antibiotic is uniformly deposited. The test material may be prepared by contacting an absorbent material with a dispersion of the antibiotic in a volatile, non-solvent vehicle, absorbing such dispersion in such material, evaporating the vehicle from the absorbent material leaving a uniform deposit of antibiotic thereupon. The absorbent material is preferably paper and the vehicle suitably is propanol. The antibiotic may be penicillin G, penicillin V, ampicillin, cephalothin, cephaloridine, cephaloglycin, cephalexin, cefazolin, cefamandole or cefoxitin.</p> |
