<p>A modular valve (10) has a valve housing (14) which defines a manifold interface (58) having a normally open port (56), a normally closed port (66) and a common port (70). A manifold block (16) is mounted to the valve housing (14) with its valve interface (60) sealed against the manifold interface (58). The valve interface (60) of the manifold block (16) has first (82), second (92) and third (102a, b) valve ports which lead to respective first (86), second (96) and third (106) mounting ports at a mounting interface (84) of the manifold block (16), which is adapted to be mounted against a mounting block having ports in registration with the first (86), second (96) and third (106) mounting ports. The first (82), second (92) and third (102a, b) valve ports and the normally open (56), normally closed (66) and common (70) ports are arranged to communicate with one another in either of two angularly spaced positions of the valve housing (14) relative to the manifold block (16). In one position, the first valve port (82) communicates with the normally open port (56), the second valve port (92) communicates with the normally closed port (66), and the third valve port (102a, b) communicates with the common port (70). In the other position, the first valve port (82) communicates with the normally closed port (66), the second valve port (92) communicates with the normally open port (56), and the third valve port (102a, b) communicates with the common port (70).</p> |
