The appliance serves for treating mown material and making it possible to use it as fertilizer for the freshly mown lawn area. The treatment apparatus (1) designed as a trailer unit comprises a housing (4) with a worm (7), a cutter disc (12) and a broadcaster (14). The cut and picked-up mown material is fed via pneumatic conveying means (2, 3) to the worm housing (4) where the mown material is compacted and juice is extracted from it. The compacting and juice extraction are followed by comminution, by means of which the mown material is cut into very small pieces by the cutter disc (12). The mown material is subsequently separated into solid and liquid constituents and is applied to the mown lawn area in a fine spread by means of the broadcaster (14). The worked lawn area thus undergoes complete care treatment in a single operation. <IMAGE> |
