<p>A blood reservoir for use in an extracorporeal blood circulating system. The reservoir comprises a rigid lower portion and a flexible upper portion. A first inlet is provided for introducing blood into the reservoir from an animal, and a second inlet is provided for introducing blood into the reservoir from apparatus for effecting heat or mass transfer between the blood and another fluid. An outlet is provided for discharging blood from the reservoir. A mixer mixes the blood within the reservoir.</p> |
