The reflector is used for optical transmitters, esp. for semiconducting optical transmitters. This reflector is designed so that even very low quantities of light, for example from a luminescent diode, ensure satisfactory illumination of an indirect light source. Hence the luminescent diodes can be used instead of miniature incandescent light bulbs for optical display. In addition to an external reflector (3) is provided also a light scattering body (7). A sleeve of the optical transmitter holding clip is converted into an external reflector and has a light scattering element. The latter has on its surface light refracting or scattering structures. This scattering element can be a disc or a truncated conical shell. Alternatively it can be a hemispherical shell. |
