PURPOSE:To remove the torque ripple of and reduce the size of a brushless motor by generating a driving trigonometric function signal from an angle signal from a digital position detector by employing a nonlinear DA converter or a digital integrator. CONSTITUTION:An angle signal between the stator magnetic axis and the rotor magnetic axis of a permanent magnet rotor type brushless motor 1 is detected by a digital position detector 4, and converted to an approximate trigonometric function by nonlinear DA converters 8a, 8b or a digital integrator and a current proportional to the product of the torque command input 10 for defining the magnitude of the torque and the approximate trigonometric function is flown through the stator windings 3a, 3b of the respective phases to thus drive the motor 1. Thus, it can remove the torque ripple of the motor 1 due to the distortion of the waveform of the trigonometric function and reduce the laod of the servo motor to thereby reduce the size and weight of the motor 1. |
