PURPOSE:To improve a recording density characteristic by separating a conductor coil from the magnetic pole back edge to reduce the influence of the coil magnetic field. CONSTITUTION:Conductor coil 4 is formed on substrate 1, and magnetic pole 2 is formed on coil 4 through insulating layer 3. Substrate 1 of chip 5 which is formed in this manner is caused to adhere to slider 6. Then, conductor coil 4 is positioned forward for the running direction of medium 7, and magnetic pole 2 is positioned backward for it; and the interval between back edge 2', which approaches medium 7 most and magnetizes medium 7 in the vertical direction, of magnetic pole 2 and conductor coil 4 becomes wide when slider 6 floats up. Therefore, since the influence of the magnetic field of conductor coil 4 is reduced when conductor 7 is magnetized by magnetic pole back edge 2', a recording density at a vertical magnetic recording time can be improved without lowering a write efficiency. |
