PURPOSE:To detect collision from a node excepting for the user itself and to secure the privacy of communication in a network using a bidirectional bus. CONSTITUTION:Plural nodes 1 are connected to a bidirectional multi-address bus A and before transmission, the transmitting node monitors the multi-address bus A for detecting the collision. Only when a line is empty, a packet is transmitted and further, the multi-address bus A is monitored for fixed time even after the transmission is started. The responding node starts transmitting the response after the lapse of fixed standby time when the packet addressed to the own node is received and when the maximum reciprocative propagation delay time of the multi-address bus A is defined as tau0, fixed time for the transmitting node to monitor the multi-address bus A in order to detect the collision after starting the transmission is defined as t1 and the standby time from the reception of the packet at the responding node to the start of transmitting the response is defined as tau2, the condition of tau0<tau1<tau2 is established. |
