PURPOSE:To improve the maneuverability of an outboard machine by providing a rotary arm at a tilting lever pivotally secured to a tilting shaft. CONSTITUTION:A rotary arm 11 extending backwardly in a pivotal projection 8 is integrally provided at a tilting lever 10 rotatably secured to a tilting shaft 9, and a link 14 connected rotatably to a stationary shaft 13 is pivotally secured via a pin 16 to the rear end of the arm 11. Then, a connecting rod 17 pivotally secured via a pin 19 to a first tilting lock plate 18 is rotatably secured to the top of the link 14. Thus, when the operating portion 12 of the lever 10 is depressed, the arm 11 is raised to turn the link 14 to then raise the rod 17 to thereby rotate the first and second tilting lock plates 18, 22 around a pivotal shaft 23 as a center to cause the hook 20 to be removed from the tilt rod 21. Accordingly, even if the rotating amount of the lever 10 is small, the link 14 is exactly turned and displaced by lengthening the arm 11 to thereby lock or relase the link 14 even with small elevational displacement of the operating portion 12. |
