<p>PURPOSE:To enhance the easiness in inserting works by varying the flexibility of a middle leading tube during medical operation. CONSTITUTION:An endoscope is equipped with a spiral pipe 4a, which is arranged coaxially alongside a middle leading tube and whose one end is fixed to the tube in a selected position, and a spiral pitch changing mechanism in which the other end of the spiral pipe 4a can be screw fitted and secured and also the screwing-in pitch in the screw fitting and securing part is set to such a size as to make variable the spiral pitch while the winding dia. of the spiral pipe 4a is held constant.</p> |
