PURPOSE:To facilitate fabrication and to produce sufficient magnetic attraction force, in a printer for transferring thermoplastic magnetic ink, by employing such substrate as an insulation layer having specific thickness is formed through sputtering onto the surface of a metallic substrate burried with a magnetic member. CONSTITUTION:A metallic substrate 1 has a groove in which a magnetic member 2 is pressure adhered. Aluminum is employed for the substrate 1 while permendur is employed for the member 2. The substrate 1 and the member 2 are polished integrally and SiO2 having thickness thinner than 50mum is formed, as an insulation layer 4, through sputtering. Then a glass glaze layer 3 is formed through thick film printing and sintered. It is employed as a substrate, then a heater layer 5 and an electrode layer 6 are sputtered thereon, heater elements and power supply electrodes are formed through lithography and a protective layer 7 is sputtered thereon. Since only an insulation layer thinner than 50mum exists between the heater element and the magnetic member, sufficiently high magnetic attraction force can be produced. |
