PRODUCTION OF IN-MOLD CURED MOLDING AND IN-MOLD CURED MOLDING OBTAINED THEREBY

PURPOSE:To obtain the title molding improved in dimensional accuracy, surface properties and water resistance by effecting the in-mold curing of a mixture comprising a specified ethylenically unsaturated ester-ol, an isocyanate compound and a copolymerizable vinyl monomer in the presence of a catalyst. CONSTITUTION:The in-mold curing of a mixture comprising an ethylenically unsaturated ester-ol (A) of the formula (wherein X is a residue derived by removing hydroxyl groups from a trihydric or tetrahydric polyol; R<2> is a 5-21 C aliphatic hydrocarbon group; R<2> is H or CH3; p, q and r are each 1 or 2; and p+q+r=3 or 4), an isocyanate compound (B) selected between a polyisocyanate (a) free from an ethylenic unsaturation and a polyurethane isocyanate (b) containing at least two isocyanate groups in the molecule and prepared from component (a) and a polyalcohol or a (poly)etherpolyol and a vinyl monomer (C) copolymerizable with component A in amounts to give a molar ratio OH/NCO of 0.8-1.2 and a weight ratio C/(A+B+C) of 0.1-0.9 is effected in the presence of a catalyst.
