<p>Compsns. for treating sexual frigidity or impotence contain an opiate antagonist (I), which is administered in a dose of 1-20 mg. (I) is pref. naloxone, naltrexone or nalorphine. The compsns. are pref. administered orally or intravenously. The compsns. are esp. useful for normalising sexual capacity in subjects whose capacity has been reduced by opiate-type narcotics or analgesics (including beta-endorphins, enkephalins and their enzyme-resistant analogues) but they can also be used to treat loss of capacity due to natural causes.</p> |
