PURPOSE:To provide an elastic roller which can perform favorable fixing of a toner even if the roller is mounted on an appliance and heated. CONSTITUTION:A low-molecular-weight siloxane contained into an elastic body layer comprised of silicone rubber is removed beforehand from the silicone rubber and either content of siloxane having n<=12 shown by -(Si(CH3)2-O)-n is made 0.05wt.% or less or content of siloxane having 12<n<=20 is made 0.10wt.% or less or at the time of vulcanization of the silicone rubber, the low-molecular-weight siloxane is evaporated by performing long time heating at a low temperature. Therefore, since the low-molecular-weight siloxane which is evaporatable easily is not in existence in the elastic body layer, even if the elastic body layer is mounted on an appliance and heated at the time of copying, gas of the low-molecular-weight siloxane is not generated and therefore thinning of a roller is not generated. Therefore, stabilized impression paper is performed. |
