<p>The winding and unwinding reel suitable for electric cable (7), has a base (1) with a flange (2) projecting from one side, forming a housing to enclose the coils of wire. In the centre of the base, is a sleeve (4) for mounting on a spindle (5). Concentric with the sleeve and the peripheral flange is an intermediate sleeve (3) longer than the inner sleeve and flange. The outermost coil of the fully wound on wire is also passed once around the intermediate sleeve then passes through an eye (8) at the tip of a fixed strut projecting from the framework, parallel to the reel axis. This guides the wire evenly during winding and unwinding.</p> |
