PURPOSE:To produce an exchanger with a higher chemical stability having a higher ion exchanging capacity in a wider pH range with respect to anion including As, Cr, P and U through an hydrolysis of Ti compound by a solution containing an Al compound at a specified ratio. CONSTITUTION:A Ti compound soluble in water or an inorganic acid and an Al compound soluble in water or an inorganic acid are dissolved into water or an inorganic acid within the range of 0.3 to 0.8 in terms of atom ratio, Ti/(Ti+Al). Then, a solid sediment if formed through a hydrolysis. For example, a Ti compound such as titanous sulfate and titanium tetrachloride and an Al compound such as aluminium sulfate and aluminium chloride are dissolved into water or an inorganic acid such as sulfuric acid, chloric acid and boric acid. A basic substance such as ammonia is added thereto to control pH to range from 4 to 9 to produce a solution with Ti/(Ti+Al) of 0.3 to 0.8. After a hydrolysis by heat, the solid sediment thus formed is filtered and washed to produce an anion exchanger. |
