CONSTITUTION:A packed tower is composed of an upper layer section 8 and a lower layer section 6 at a ratio of 1.5 to 3.0:1 in terms of horizontal cross-section area The two sections are connected with a tapered section 7 at an angle of 45 to 75 deg. to the level. Slant plates 4 are parallel arranged in a V shape both horizontally and vertically in the upper layer section 8, tapered section 7 and lower section 9 at a horizontal space of 10 to 50 mm to connect plates 100 to 500 mm long. More than two spaces each 50 to 100 mm high are arranged from top to bottom in the lower layer section 6 and one space 3 100 to 500 mm high in the portion below the lowest slant plate. A resin inlet A and a resin outlet B are provided therebelow.
