<p>The aerator comprises a float with a central opening through which passes a suction pipe contg. a rotary impeller coupled to a drive motor above the central opening. The motor is mounted on an annular plate resting directly on the top face of the float. The outside of the suction pipe has integral flanges which bridge the underside of the central opening. The annular plate and the bridging flanges are drawn towards each other by removable fastenings, located inside the central passage. The float is thus sandwiched and clamped between the annular plate and the bridging flanges. The fastenings pref. comprise upright pillars fixed to the bridging flanges and having tapped holes at the top to engage bolts passed through the annular plate. The central passage in the float is pref. square and the suction pipe is cylindrical and tangential to the sides of the square. The fastening pillars occupy the corners of the square. All fastenings are pref. made of stainless steel.</p> |
