The hoop set includes a longish rod which is able to work with the rim of the hoop to let it run on the playing surface yet keep it under control. The rim of the hoop includes a central endless recess extending over the circumference. The rim (1) has at least two further recesses extending endlessly on the sides of the central recess (2). The rod (7) includes a first mainly smooth, surface. A second surface opposite to the first includes a central rib extending over the whole second surface and able to fit into the central recess of the rim to allow a continuous controlled running of the loop. The set can be made from plastics.
