<p>The modules fit together in plan in random geometric arrangements, comprising plain cylindrical pieces, hollow cylindrical pieces with a flat base, or segmental hollow cylindrical pieces also with a flat base. A first segmental piece has the basic circular plan form with an inset concave edge zone, the inset having the same radius as the base circle and subtending 90 deg. of arc. Further variations are obtained by making two, three or four similar quadrant shaped incisions on the root circular form, all modules being solid or cupped. Solid pieces may be utilised as packings to form vertical steps and horizontal recesses, the cups having a shallow or deep construction.</p> |
