Curtain driving mechanism with electric motor - has friction clutch limiting torque between motor and coupling

The driving shaft or drum is for a blind, curtain etc. having an internal motor with a clutch or coupling between it and the shaft or drum. One half (3) of the clutch or coupling is coupled to the motor drive by a friction clutch limiting the torque. The half concerned can form a supporting flange (12) against which there bear, via spring washers, discs (6) rotating with the drive shaft (5) of the motor (2). The friction discs (13) can be mounted between the discs (6) and the coupling half flange (12). The design provides a simple means of avoiding motor overloading when the curtain reaches the end position.
