The electric contact comprises a housing (1) entirely or partly resiliently deformable, wherein at least two contact strips (2, 3) are inserted into the walls of the housing, in a dust-sealing manner. The contact surfaces (4) of the strips are arranged facing each other and are in contact relationship upon appropriate deformation of the housing, for example, when the housing is curved in its longitudinal plane. Upon ceasing of the actuating force (F), the housing returns to its rest position under the effect of the resilient characteristic thereof and the contact surfaces are spaced from each other. The number of contact points, the right angled section of the housing, the material of the housing, the actuating mechanism and the direction of deformation may be selected within a very large range. |
