A pump delivers fuel to a discharge pipe leading to a valve in the suction manifold which is controlled to regulate the quantity injected in proportion to the air flow. Excess fuel is returned to the tank through a continuation pipe and a pressure regulating valve. There is a further valve between the first valve and the tank to maintain a constant volume flow through the first valve. The second valve has a central chamber separated by one membrane from a fuel chamber and by a second membrane from a spring.
