Oil-fired boiler flame tube - has holding ribs sliding axially on burner neck to increase back pressure in burner chamber

The flame tube is for small oil-fired boilers, having holding ribs which can be slid axially on the burner neck. This increase back-pressure in the burner chamber, stabilises the flame, increase the carbon-dioxide content, reduces sooting and keeps the fumes free of oil. When used with older-type boilers having long fireboxes and high-pressure boilers, it gives clean combustion at very low load, thus reducing fume temperature and improving efficiency. It can have a cone, of the double type if desired, sliding axially.
