The cutting height adjuster is for lawn mower, the distance of the blade from the wheel axle being adjusted by relative adjustment of the wheel axle with respect to the mower housing. The wheel axles can also be arrested in the different height positions in the mower housing. The wheel axle (4) is in the form of a spring-loaded bar (5) which is hinge-supported on the mower housing (1) in the middle region between the wheels. When there are two coaxial wheels (7) there is a single spring bar.
