<p>The installation determines the expansion of a conveyor band made from steel rope. The sensors (A,B) are positioned at a predetermined distance (d) parallel to the conveyor band (1) with a longer distance than the length of the connecting point (2) between them. The magnetic elements (a,b) are attached to the lower side of the conveyor band (1) in each case in front of and behind the connecting point (2) with the distance between them exactly corresponding to the distance (L) between the sensors (A,B). The elements (a,b) during the rotation of the conveyor band (1) lie opposite to the sensors (A,b) simultaneously and the control system ensures that signals are generated to indicate the unchanged state of the connecting point (2) with an alarm system operating as soon as the connecting point as a result of an expansion does not generate simultaneous signals to the control system.</p> |
