PURPOSE:To provide a lappet for detecting breakage of yarn, in which hinge fixing member and main body of lappet, both made of insulating material, are respectively provided therein conductive elements, and the above two parts of lappet are connected electrically by means of pins made of conductive material, whereby it is enabled to take out signal indicating breakage of yarn from snail wire, without exposing lead wires to the outside of lappet body. CONSTITUTION:Hinge fixing member 19 and main body 3 of lappet are both made of insulating material such as plastics. Terminals 31 are attached to the member 19, whereas contactor lead plates 25 are attached to the main body 3 of lappet by the aid of cover 27. In connecting the main body 3 to member 19 in pivotally movable manner, lead plates 25 and terminals 31 are connected electrically with each other by use of pins 28 made of conductive material. Further, snail wire 2 including piezo- electric element 11 for producing a signal indicating breakage of yarn is fitted in the main body 3 of lappet, and its terminal plate 22 is connected to the lead plates 25, whereby electric connection of the lappet can be achieved without exposing lead wires to the outside of the lappet body. |
