<p>PURPOSE:To prevent needless friction between pad-lining and rotor inclusive of making adjustment of repose position under the caliper unnecessary by fixing wedge- like stopper at guide pin of caliper. CONSTITUTION:Caliper 2 is apt to move downwards due to its dead load when the brake is released but caliper 2 is held by wedge 13 as fixed at bottom of tapered slot of guide pin 5, and remains stopping. When the brake is released after applying of brake, caliper 2 is held at an advanced position of wedge 13 and as the result, repose position of caliper 2 when brake is released is moving upwards as floating stroke increases. Sliding surfaces of both wedge 13 and tilting Hole 11 are given 0.1mm clearance to separate them from pressure contact of pad 8 and rotor 1.</p> |
