<p>Bandage for fixing 2 jointed parts esp. for placing a person's or animal's limbs e.g. foot/lower leg or lower leg/thigh or upper arm/forearm, into a rest position, so as to keep these limbs at a pre-determined angle w.r.t. each other whilst preventing swivel motion, is claimed. The bandage comprises two sections of tubular knitted fabric connected together at an angle so that their interiors are open towards each other and define a chamber adapted to receive a fixing material. When the chamber has been packed with still-deformable material then the sections can be pivoted into the intended fixing position and the packing is then hardened. The sections are connected by welding, stitching or glueing. The packing is suitably a foamable polyurethane compsn. that hardens to an inelastic mass.</p> |
