PURPOSE:To compress and store various journal data to be retained for business recording in a memory, and also, to execute printing in an easily visible form at the time of executing report printing of the memory contents even if the data is compressed and stored. CONSTITUTION:At the time of writing data in a journal memory 16-2, a CPU 11 checks whether a null space continued by two digits or more exists in its data or not, and if it exists, the number of digits of this null space is counted. A space counting value counted thereby is inserted into the corresponding null space position in the data, and also, written in the journal memory 16-2 in a state filled with the subsequent data. Subsequently, when the contents of the journal memory 16-2 are subjected to printing output, in the case a null counting value is inserted into the data of a printing object, a null space of a digit number portion corresponding to its counting value is generated, and this null space is replaced with the corresponding null counting value and a printing output is executed. |
