PURPOSE:To prevent impact at the time of switching from motor drive to engine drive while suppressing uncomfortable feeling. CONSTITUTION:The hybrid vehicle comprises an engine 11, an output shaft 22 for transmitting engine torque to drive wheel, a clutch C interposed between the engine 11 and the output shaft 22, and a motor 15 coupled with the output shaft 22. The hybrid vehicle further comprises an engine r.p.m. detecting means 23, a motor r.p.m. detecting means 24, and means 25 for regulating r.p.m. of engine. When engine r.p.m. and motor r.p.m. satisfy a preset relationship, a clutch engaging means 26 engages the clutch C. Upon engaging the clutch C, the engine 11 does not impose load on the motor 15 and thereby impact is prevented. |
