<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the function of the title contactor from deteriorating, even if the contactor is inclined or swinged by a wind and waves, by setting guide walls provided with damping plates having upper openings between bubble cap lines on a plurality of shelves in the contactor at positions higher than descending pipes. CONSTITUTION:In a vapor-liquid contactor used in an ocean plant, etc., a liquid overflowing from the upper end of descending pipe 2 flows in a zigzag direction along guide wall 6 by a plurality of times and descends to the next shelf. Thus, the time of contact between the liquid and air bubbles blown up from bubble caps 4 is elongated to enhance the distillation performance. When the contactor inclines in the X-X direction, movement of the liquid is restricted with wall 6 to make a difference in liquid level small, and gas seal of the liquid surface is secured. To the inclination in the Y-Y diretion damping plates 5 restrict movement of the liquid, so the liquid moving speed is decreased, and the inclined construction and tower body 1 are restored before the liquid finishes the movement, thus preventing gas channeling.</p> |
