The cigarette pack vending tray has elastically constrained sliding retaining tabs (22). The framed panel has equally spaced supports (5, 6) between two L-section parallel edge beams (4). The legs (10, 13) face outwards attached to bars (12, 14) of a slotted box section. The slot is central and continuous along the top face, and feet (19, 20) from alternate supports (5) locate in the boxes. Alternate supports are of inverted 'T' section (5) and of a longitudinally slotted box section (6). The former (5) have the feet (19, 20) at each end and form transverse walls (16) confining a row of packets. The latter (6) have the slot centrally along the top faces and locating runners (23) projecting beneath the tabs (22). The front edge member (4) may support an edge panel (30) and identification cards (33), and the hollow traverses (6) may house return elastic cords (25) which constrain the tab (22) towards the front (4).
