PURPOSE:To dispose a pressure applier within the nozzle area by constituting the pressur applier of an ink chamber and a pressure trembler which is provided on the substrate standing vertically therefrom so as to act on the ink chamber from the sideway. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of nozzles 3 are arranged zigzaging substantially in X direction in the center of the substrate 1 of a printing head. The space between adjacent nozzles is rather narrow. A plurality of pressure appliers 2 are arranged on the substrate in two rows extending in Y direction from the nozzles toward the ends of the substrate, each applier 2 communicating its corresponding nozzles through an ink passage 4. The pressure applier 2 comprises a cylindrical piezo trembler and an ink chamber 10. As the trembler is provided on the substrate standing vertically therefrom so as to act on the ink chamber from the sideway, the pressure applier can be disposed within the area of the nozzle width. |
