PURPOSE:To make correction of an optical path well by providing a rotary assymetrical imaging optical system between the plane being scanned and a deflector in an apparatus of scanning the flat plane being scanned with the deflector which rotates or rotatively vibrates. CONSTITUTION:The virtual image 12 of cylindrical face form of the plane 11 being scanned is formed by the rotary assymetrical imaging optical system 13 disposed between the plane 11 being scanned and a rotary reflecting mirror 15. The luminous flux emitted from the point P1 of the plane 11 being scanned enters the rotary assymetrical optical system 15 and enters the rotary reflecting mirror 15 as if the luminous flux from the point P2 of its conjugate image 12 has emitted. The rotary reflecting mirror 13 rotates in such a manner as to forms the mirror image of the foregoing image point P2 always in a fixed position P3. And the mirror image formed at the point P3 is imaged in the fixed position P4 on a memory drum 17 by an imaging lens system 16. Hence, if the rotary drum 17 is rotated in synchronization to the angular speed of the rotary reflecting mirror 15, the information on the plane 11 being scanned may be recorded on the recording drum 17. |
