The invention relates to a seismic prospecting method, of the type in which a shock (2) is caused in the subsoil using a seismic source (1), and seismic data are recorded using geophones (3), each delivering a seismic signal (11), which data contain useful information on the geology of the subsoil, this information being capable of being masked by undesirable noise signals present in the seismic signals delivered by the geophones and due to sound waves (7) propagating through the air to the geophones. At least one microphone (8) is associated with the geophones (3), which is capable of delivering a signal representing the perturbation caused by the said sound waves (7), and, after matching, the signal (12) delivered by the associated microphone is subtracted from the seismic signal (11) delivered by each geophone, with a view to eliminating the undesirable noise signals. <IMAGE> |
