DATA DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM AND METHOD UTILIZING COMMUNICATIONS SATELLITE

PURPOSE:To compensate omission of distributer in real time even when the distribution data are omitted due to the effect of a rainfall or the like in the data distribution system utilizing a communications satellite. CONSTITUTION:Distribution data are sent to a communications satellite 1 from a work station 13 acting as a transmitter via a transmitter 11. The distribution data received by a receiver 21 is given to a work station 23 acting as a receiver. When any omitted number is found out by serial number check, the receiver 23 sends a re-transmission request to a work station 14 acting as a re- transmitter via a ground network 2. The distribution data are given to the re-transmitter 14 from the transmitter 13 through a transmission line 15. The re-transmitter 14 sends the data requested by a 1st re-transmission request via the communications satellite 1 to the receiver 23 with re-transmission request made via a ground network 2 for a 2nd re-transmission request.
