PURPOSE:To restrain the contact start/stop zone width to a required minimum to obtain a multi-head easy to assemble, by providing core fitting protrusions at a prescribed interval in a slider in one body. CONSTITUTION:In slider 8 controlled by access arm 1, n-number protruded parts 9... are formed in one body at every equal interval p which satisfies p.n=l in respect to width l of the effective recording and reproducing surface of magnetic disc 6, and protruded parts 9... are provided with core part materials 12 respectively. When the total of width d of protruded parts 9... is selected to be an area required for floating-up of slider 8, the access distance becomes p, and the contact stop zone width is restrained to a minimum. Then, since core part materials and the slider are constituted in one body, it is easy to assemble and adjust a multi-head to the access arm through gimbals 2, and the small-error multi-head can be obtained. |
