PURPOSE:To cancel noise by providing each pair of beam position detectors on the left and right of a high frequency accelerating cavity, respectively, and utilizing that the acceleration voltage generated in the accelerating gap has reversed phases in the left and right of the gap to add the signals in the detectors. CONSTITUTION:In lateral positions where the phase of a RF noise 7 leaked from the accelerating gap of a high frequency accelerating cavity 5 is reversed, two beam position detectors 13 are set. The acceleration voltage VC generated between the gaps has laterally reversed phases, and when this is included in the lateral beam position detectors 13 as a RF noise VN, the voltage generated in the detector 13A is A1+VN, B1+VN, and the voltage generated in the detector 13B is A2-VN, B2-VN. Thus, the respective voltages are added together by a power combiner 21, and the noise VN is canceled to provide A1+A2, B1+B2, so that the output signal of the combiner 21 is never influenced by the RF noise.
