PURPOSE:Fine depression is previously formed on the surface of the material for metal travelers and the surface is made matte, whereby the adhesion to the nickel layer that is plated on the surface is improved to increase the service life and wearing resistance of the travelers. CONSTITUTION:The surface of the material 2 for metal traveler 1 is subjected to matte finish of less than 10 mu surface roughness. Then, the resulting surface is plated and the nickel layer 4 is formed thereon. EFFECT:Yarn breaks and damage of travelers by overheating can be reduced. |
