PURPOSE:To develop an application program without caring about KANA (Japanese syllabary)/KANJI(Chinese character) conversion by providing a KANA /KANJI converting means and a KANA/KANJI conversion control means controlling conversion processing by means of the KANA/KANJI converting means and transferring data after conversion processing to the application program. CONSTITUTION:A KANA/KANJI conversion part 202 receives data in KANA or Roman characters, converts KANA to KANJI in accordance with a KANA/ KANJI conversion instruction and sends KANJI data to another control block. A virtual terminal part 205 imitates an existent character terminal equipment on a graphic display. Therefore, the virtual terminal part 205 converts a control key code inputted from a key-board 102 to the control code of the existent character terminal equipment and instructs a display part 203 to display in accordance with an output control code peculiar to the character terminal equipment so that the application program 204 pretends to input and output to the existent character terminal equipment. |
