<p>The process is intended to optimise the temp. of the intake air and the fuel temp. of a combustion engine. These are optimised and kept constant, irrespective of ambient temperature. The exhaust gas line extends through an air heater and is connected (6) to a mixing valve (3) which mixes pre-heated with outside air (28) in thermostatically controlled (15) proportions to obtain the pre-determined constant temp. at the outlet (8). Any excess of pre-heated air emerges at an outlet (7) to atmosphere. A further outlet (9) may be provided for mixed air for pre-heating the fuel to a pre-determined temp.</p> |
