<p>The hydraulic resistor value is independent of the pressure difference and temp. The hydraulic resistor provides a linear relationship between the pressure difference and flow rate. The resistance value can be high and independent of temp. Errors due to mechanical friction between the moving parts are eliminated. A constant resistor and a variable resistor are connected in series. The constant resistor is a nozzle (5) and the variable resistance an annular gap between the nozzle outlet opening and its baffle plate. A plate (2) is provided which becomes elastic due to applied pressure difference. Deformation of this component is transmitted to teh baffle plate (4) so that its distance from the nozzle outlet opening can be varied in relation to the pressure difference.</p>
