The coupling between a tube and one or more other components, particularly in a hospital bedframe, incorporates one or more headed bolts. The head (5) of the bolt (6) extends at right angles to the bolt axis for a distance (B) greater than the clear width of the tube mouth opening (4), into which it is inserted obliquely, teh bolt being then tilted into a position coaxial with the tube (17) with its head bearing against the inner wall (2) of the latter. The bolt passes through an opening (11) in the frame and is secured by a nut (16).
