The sample to be titrated and the titrant are synchronously injected via two inputs of a mixer. A vessel is filled with a known volume of solution or suspension as are a capillary electrode and collecting vessel up to the reference electrode. When the sample and titrant are injected, a titrant of increasing concentration is fed to the sample before entry into the capillary so that the sample is titrated at reduced or increased pH values, depending on the titrant. The resulting pH values are measured via the capillary electrode and reference electrode (calomel or silver chloride) and recorded for the volume of titrant fed in. Useful for samples contg biological molecules and cells.
