The hydraulic support system is for the superstructure of multi-chamber excavators or dredgers, as required with heavy structures with multi-point support and movable or rotatable mountings, two or more fixed supports being replaced by hydraulic supports. These consist of two elastic sealed hydraulic chambers, of variable volume, connected by one or more pipe links. They can be in the form of folding concertina bellows units (6), indivisibly connected to a top plate (7) and a bottom plate (8), with sealing effect. There is no risk of hydraulic fluid loss through leakage, and no need for an automatic control system to be installed with individual pump supply to cylinders.
